C&H recruitment is seeking multiple Mechanical Fitters who are chasing temporary work, either in between shutdowns or projects. We have a minimum 4 month overhaul project (which can extend for the right person) based in Rockhampton This role would be ideal for someone who may have friends or family based in Rockhampton who you could stay with for the duration of project, or if you are looking for a change from Mackay for a few months. This is a fantastic opportunity for secured work through to Christmas 2025 and high potential to extend into 2026 with further local projects or within the local mining industry On offer is hourly rate of $50.00 penalties (completing 8-10 hour shifts Monday-Friday) Work scopes: Assemble, fit, and install various components and equipment Hydraulics and pneumatics knowledge Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards To be considered: Australian trade certificate Previous experience within mining/manufacturing workshops overhaul or assembly/disassembly experience Live local to Rockhampton or have own accommodation options This is your chance to join a specialised mining company with secure work through to the end of the year and to gain that heavily sought after mining exposure!
