Accounts Receivable Immediate StartCompetitive Hourly RateAccounts Receivable role with a State Government Department, 6-month temporary contract Your new company Our State Government client is seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable specialist to join their finance team on a 6-month temporary contract basis (with the possibility of extension). This role requires an immediate start, and is based near the CBD. Your new role Completes assigned tasks through telephony and Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).Processes revenue-related transactions and accounts receivable activities. Investigates and resolves revenue-related issues and responds to enquiries.Monitors output quality and initiates corrective actions where necessary.Prepares documentation for authorisation, including journals, adjustments, and refunds.Participates in debt recovery processes for outstanding accounts.Performs cash handling, front office, and general administrative duties as required.Implements changes related to the annual review of fees, charges, and monetary forms.Processes charging information from source departments, including ad hoc and periodic charges, and prepares batches accordingly.Assists in training and mentoring accounts receivable staff.Liaises with internal departments, health funds, insurance companies, solicitors, the Public Trustee, hospital staff, and other third parties.Supports line managers with specific tasks and special projects.Provides coverage for team members during periods of absence or leave.Builds and maintains effective working relationships with colleagues, clients, central agencies, and other public sector organisations.What you'll need to succeed Recognised professional qualifications in finance, accounting, economics or health management would be desirable.Significant experience in a healthcare environment would be desirable.Extensive experience in debt management and accounts receivable.You must be ready for an immediate start.Be able to pass a National Police Check.What you'll get in return You will get a market-competitive hourly rate.A long-term 6-month contract with the possibility of extension.An immediate start.The opportunity to join a friendly and supportive team.What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
