About the Role: Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director, Business Services, will provide inspiring leadership and vision to the newly created Business Services Directorate. This is an exciting role that will lead the transformation of critical business enabling functions that support council to deliver outstanding services to the community. You will work with the Executive Leadership Team establish a shared vision for council as a whole and a set of leadership principles and behaviours that support a culture of collaboration and accountability and a focus on customer experience. The departments within the portfolio include: Finance Procurement and Contract Services Technology People and Culture Customer Experience and Business Improvement Ryde Aquatic and Leisure Centre We are interested in candidates with broad experience, inspiring leadership and political awareness including: Experience contributing and shaping strategy at board level or as part of a senior leadership team; Experience driving improvements in service delivery within a relevant and complex operational environment; This is an exciting opportunity to have a real impact on the City of Ryde and the experience of its residents and visitors. To be Successful in Your Application You Will Demonstrate: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Finance, HR, Technology or another relevant discipline and broad senior-level experience relevant to the position; A high level of commercial acumen and an ability to apply business thinking to implement solutions across a range of different environments; A demonstrated track-record in developing and driving strategy including communicating and implementing transformational change.
