This is a permanent position based in the Sydney CBD and provides a hybrid working environment. Your new role As the IT Release and Environments Manager, you will be instrumental in managing the scheduling, coordination, and delivery of software releases across multiple IT environments. This role involves overseeing the full release lifecycle, ensuring seamless progression of software from development stages through to live deployment, while safeguarding the stability and consistency of each environment. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance release workflows, reduce potential risks, and support ongoing process improvements. What you'll need to succeed Demonstrated expertise in IT release management across complex enterprise environments. Strategic and influential leader with a track record of developing release management capabilities across multiple organisations, driving change, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and service resilience. Solid grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies and industry-standard release practices. Skilled in using release management platforms, version control tools, and automation technologies. Strong working knowledge of ITIL principles, with additional exposure to Agile and DevOps methodologies. Deep understanding of IT infrastructure, operations, and application ecosystems. Proven ability to assess release-related risks and implement effective mitigation strategies. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a focus on refining release processes and improving efficiency.
