This is a 12-month fixed term/secondment opportunity See yourself in the team Marketing and Corporate Affairs (MCA) is responsible for delivering an integrated and consistent approach to the Group's marketing, brand, external and internal affairs, communications and sustainability. Corporate Affairs is comprised of Communications, Media, and Government & Industry Affairs. Our purpose is to earn trust by building advocacy. We do this through renewing our brand and reputation with our stakeholders, engaging internal and external stakeholders to inspire advocacy and deliver trusted insights to inform decisions. Do work that matters As part of our ongoing efforts to transform how we communicate to customers and stakeholders, we are creating an exciting new opportunity for a communications Manager/or Senior Communications Manager to support our Corporate Affairs team. This role will support two critical areas in Marketing & Corporate Affairs. Firstly, working with our crisis communications team , this role will contribute to a program of work that is focused on rethinking group - wide crisis and incident communications planning, response and capability to enable us to better support our customers and our people. Secondly, t h is role will also support our broader External Communications team providing support and managing external communications, media monitoring and issues reporting. T he successful candidate will have the opportunity to support campaigns and activities across the wider Corporate Affairs function. S ome of the broad responsibilities of this role may include: Help evolve our communications framework , modernise our channels of communication and refresh customer communications, ultimately contributing to delivering on our aspiration of NPS 30. Enhance our systems, processes and communications for both planned and unplanned service disruptions, ensuring our customers and staff are kept informed via various internal and external communication channels. Working across our Marketing & Corporate Affairs team, ensure we are prepared as a team and have Business Continuity plans in place to communicate in a crisis. Lead program of work across Marketing & Corporate Affairs to identify how we can better support our customers and people in critical moments such as natural disasters. As part of the team, actively support response to unplanned incidents by d evelop ing communications materials and strategies to support customers and frontline staff. Support frequent reporting on media monitoring reports, social media performance, owned channel performance, media engagement and reputational issues. Support our video production capabilities including maintenance of equipment, processes and training. Support training for the MCA team and build confidence in new tools and processes. We’re interested in hearing from people who possess the following: Demonstrated experience in marketing communications, customer communications, change communications in either in-house or PR agency. A passion for delivering effective communications and translating things that are complex into actions that are simple. Demonstrated ability developing engaging internal and external communications content across multiple channels. Experience in change communication and driving adoption of new processes and ways of working . Demonstrated experience in enhancing communications strategy and optimising communication channels. Experience in financial services will be highly regarded either through agency or in-house.
