The Opportunity This role is a permanent full-time position based in either our Gladstone, Mackay, or Emerald branch, supporting client sites in the Bowen Basin – with a key focus on Hydraulic Excavators and Bulldozers. Key Responsibilities Maximise Komatsu equipment’s availability, reliability, and productivity through technical support, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. Report on regular machine issues. Create detailed technical documentation and provide recommendations/resolutions for equipment performance issues. Role Location: Gladstone/Mackay/Emerald supporting various Bowen Basin Sites Shift: Monday-Friday roster based on a 38-hour workweek Remuneration: Approximate salary of $160,000 per year, plus fleet vehicle, bonus, and paid accommodation. What We Are Looking For Trade certificate - Relevant Heavy Equipment Trade or Engineering Qualification Broad-based knowledge/experience working on Komatsu equipment Experience as a Field Service Technician is preferred, with exposure to breakdowns, repairs, and diagnostics Previous mine-site experience is preferred Ability to read hydraulic and electrical drawings Understanding of maintenance targets, including availability, reliability, parts management, and component lifecycle management Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical problems and provide solutions Current driver’s license Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office Ability to work independently Why work for us!
