Senior Sales Estimator / Estimating Manager – Builder Developer Bella Vista - WFH 1-2 days per week once onboarded Salary: $140k – $160k Super About the Company This is a unique opportunity to join a growing residential builder-developer with a 40% increase in business activity this year and further growth forecasted for FY25-26. Approximately 70% of projects are H&L on their own land, whilst 30% are in partnership with external developers and act as a builder partner. With a strong reputation for quality and innovation, the business is scaling up and looking for a strategic Estimating leader to help shape and lead their estimating team during this exciting phase. This opportunity is available due to the current Estimating Manager receiving a promotion. The Role As the Senior Sales Estimator / Estimating Manager , you’ll take ownership of the estimating function with a focus on sales estimating while continuing to build the framework and processes to support a high-performing team. The Estimating team currently has one Production Estimator (senior level and highly capable). Future hires will include one offshore resource and an additional internal Estimator. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, can work autonomously, and is passionate about creating and leading efficient systems. Initially hands-on, this position will evolve to be less hands-on and more leadership/procurement as the department and business grow. Key Responsibilities Manage the estimating department, with a core focus on sales estimating Own the day-to-day estimating function while implementing longer-term structure and improvements Oversee detailed sales and production estimates including tenders, variations, and BOQs Finalise costings for house & land, spec builds, and custom designs Collaborate with Sales, Construction, and Operations teams to support project delivery Maintain and update variation price books, internal workbooks, and estimating systems Assist in managing trade and supplier procurement, including negotiations Provide training and mentorship to junior estimators, developing future leaders Liaise with offshore estimating support to streamline workflows Monitor KPIs, reporting transparently to the Director and Construction Manager Participate in continuous process improvement and business planning Skills & Experience Required ✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience in residential estimating (sales focus preferred) ✅ Strong systems experience – ideally Framework ✅ Deep understanding of BCA/NCC, local statutory regulations, and authority requirements ✅ Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment ✅ A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with a strong attention to detail ✅ Leadership potential and previous experience coaching or mentoring others ✅ Trade background or tertiary qualifications in Construction, Estimating or a related field The Right Fit The successful candidate will be: Organised, commercially minded, and ready to take ownership Comfortable working autonomously with minimal supervision Open to feedback and adaptable to changing business needs Keen to help shape a high-performance team and grow with the business Either a proven leader or a senior estimator with the potential to step up What’s On Offer Highly autonomous role with a clear growth path Hands-on mentoring from a respected and collaborative leadership team Opportunity to help shape systems, people, and processes in a scaling business A dynamic and growing builder-developer with a solid pipeline of work Flexible working hours as long as core hours are completed, along with Work From Home 1-2 days per week Salary package of $140,000 – $160,000 Super Interested in shaping the future of estimating with a fast-growing residential builder?
