About the Opportunity We are currently seeking a Property and Tenancy Officer to join our supportive and dedicated team. This full-time position is responsible for the day-to-day property and tenancy management across both on-site and community-based properties under the HSWF program. This is a hands-on role that involves direct work with clients, colleagues, real estate agents, property owners, and contractors to ensure all tenancy and property matters are managed effectively. You will help maintain safe and appropriate housing, support clients to sustain their tenancies, and ensure all related processes align with legislative and organisational standards. Key Responsibilities This role includes the coordination of tenancy agreements and inspections, including entry, routine, and exit inspections in accordance with RTA requirements. You will monitor and respond to maintenance needs, maintain accurate property and asset records, and support sourcing of new properties as needed. You'll work directly with service users to explain tenancy rights and responsibilities, support tenancy sustainability, and take necessary actions in relation to rent arrears or tenancy breaches, including representation at QCAT hearings. Administrative duties will include maintaining accurate tenancy files, reporting on tenancy and maintenance activity, preparing documentation, and supporting the financial and statistical reporting required under funding conditions. You will contribute to ongoing service improvement and risk management, participate in team meetings and professional development, and actively support a collaborative and respectful workplace culture. About You You are a practical, organised and compassionate professional with strong communication and administrative skills, and a working knowledge of tenancy legislation and property management. You're motivated by helping people access and sustain safe housing, and enjoy working as part of a values-led team. To be successful in this role, you will have: A Diploma in Tenancy Coordination, Social Housing, Property Management or similar field, and/or equivalent practical experience Knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) legislation and housing practices Experience supporting diverse individuals and families in housing or community services settings Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills The ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records A high level of competency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn internal systems A current National Police Check, Blue Card (Working with Children), and Queensland Driver Licence Why Join Anglicare?
