A Unique and Significant Opportunity to Support Aboriginal-Led Governance & Development Engaged through Indigo Junction Karlup Aboriginal Corporation, a newly established Aboriginal-Community Controlled Organisation is seeking a: Part Time Experienced Project Officer Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Industry Award - Level 4 Midland, WA Fixed Term Key Objectives: • Provide facilitation, administrative and project support to Karlup Aboriginal-controlled organisation as directed by its board. • Coordinate and progress priority actions identified by the board, including operational, governance, and development tasks. • Support collaboration and information flow between Karlup Aboriginal organisation, Indigo Junction, and the partnership steering group. • Assist with the preparation of reports, documentation, and lead funding applications, where appropriate and as requested by the board. • Organise and support meetings, workshops, and community engagement activities, ensuring logistics and follow-up actions are managed effectively. • Contribute to building sustainable organisational systems and processes that reflect the board’s vision and self-determined approach. • Respect and uphold cultural protocols, Aboriginal leadership, and community-led decision-making in all aspects of the role. • Maintain clear boundaries regarding representation and authority, ensuring the Aboriginal-controlled organisation speaks for itself. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Organisational • Operate in accordance with the Indigo Junction Policies and Procedures Manual. • Operate within the Indigo Junction Staff Code of Conduct. Compliance • Contribute to Indigo Junctions Compliance framework, ensuring policies and procedures are in line with best practice, legislation and enable the efficient delivery of services. • Compliance administration including but not limited to; conflicts of interest, risk, contracts, donations, complaints, service reporting and OHS. Projects • Manage and execute projects ensuring that the project scope is clearly defined, risks are managed and that the project is delivered on time and within the approved budget. • Manage relationship with internal and external stakeholders including staff, Board, Suppliers, Consultants, Funders, the local community and other stakeholders. • Provide project reports to staff, stakeholders and board on request. Selection Criteria: Qualifications and/or training and/or licences: • Experience in an administrative role within a business environment • Experience in project coordination or assisting in the management of project activities Experience and knowledge: • Strategic understanding of the Aboriginal Empowerment Strategy and how it guides service delivery and organisational practice • Extensive administration management in the development of best practice procedures • Extensive experience in the production of written material including executive briefings, reports and submissions • Experience in the community and government sectors, with an understanding of sector-specific regulations, policies, and project implementation Skills and Attributes: • Initiative and proactiveness • High level of interpersonal skills • High level communications skills, both written and oral • High level self-management, time management and organisational skills • Analytical and decision-making skills • Adaptability and flexibility • Microsoft Office suite Training and/or Licences and/or clearances: • Current National Police Clearance • Working With Children Clearance • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one) • First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
