The Café Manager will be the primary point of contact, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for our customers. Key Responsibilities: Stock Control: Oversee inventory for both the café and retail front, ensuring an adequate supply of ingredients, beverages, and retail products. Manage stock rotation to maintain product freshness, especially perishable goods.o Conduct regular inventory checks and coordinate with suppliers to place orders. Staff Time Management: Create and manage schedules for café staff, ensuring optimal coverage during peak hours. Address any staffing issues promptly, such as last-minute absences or shift changes. Plan and oversee staff break schedules to maintain uninterrupted service in both café and retail areas. Training Staff: Lead the continuous training of barista and all-rounder on coffee preparation, customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques Provide ongoing coaching to ensure staff are knowledgeable about both café offerings and retail products . Product Sales: Set sales targets for both café items and retail products, and work with the team to achieve these goals. Review sales performance and adjust strategies to maximize revenue from both café and retail sales. Maintain Hygiene Practices: Implement and oversee daily cleaning routines for food preparation areas, dining spaces, and retail displays. Conduct regular hygiene inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Social Media Posts: Contribute to the café’s social media presence by creating and posting engaging content that highlights both café offerings and retail products. Engage with the online community, respond to customer inquiries, and encourage positive reviews. Quality Control: Ensure that all food, beverages, and retail products meet the café’s quality standards before being served or sold. Handle customer complaints regarding product quality with professionalism and provide effective resolutions. Idea Implementation: Evaluate and implement feasible suggestions, such as new menu items, promotional strategies, or store layout changes. Collaborate with the Chef and General Manager to develop and execute new initiatives or menu that enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Qualifications: Proven experience in a café or retail environment, with a strong understanding of both areas. Prior experience in a supervisory or café manager role is preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Basic proficiency in social media platforms and content creation. Knowledge of inventory management, food safety, and quality control processes. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and move around the café and retail front for extended periods.
