As a Contract Manager for renewable projects, you will be instrumental in managing and optimising contracts for major renewable energy projects. About the Role As the Contract Manager – Renewable Projects , you will take ownership of managing contracts related to the development and delivery of renewable energy projects. You will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all contractual obligations. This role will require you to work closely with internal teams, external contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth execution and mitigate any potential risks. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the management of contracts for renewable energy projects, ensuring all terms, conditions, and timelines are adhered to. Work closely with project managers and legal teams to review, negotiate, and finalise contracts. Monitor project performance against contractual requirements, ensuring that milestones and deliverables are met. Identify and manage risks associated with contract execution and delivery. Provide strategic advice and support on contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices. Liaise with stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and issue resolution. Review and manage variations to contracts, ensuring all changes are documented and agreed upon. Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, clients, and key project stakeholders. Prepare and deliver reports to senior leadership on contract performance and any issues requiring attention. Qualifications and Experience: Degree in engineering, construction management, law, or a related field. At least 5 years of experience in contract management, preferably within the renewable energy sector. Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies (wind, solar, BESS) and their integration into the energy grid. Experience managing contracts for large-scale infrastructure projects. In-depth understanding of commercial and legal aspects of contracts. Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Proven ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. High attention to detail and a proactive approach to risk management.
