Cross River Rail is a new 10.2km rail line including 5.9km of twin tunnels running under the Brisbane River and CBD, with four new underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street and Roma Street. The Cross River Rail Delivery Authority is also tasked with multiple supporting projects and activities, including accessibility rebuilds for eight surface stations, construction of three new stations on the Gold Coast, upgrades for stabling yards, track works and surface rail enhancements, and the introduction of a new world-class digital train signalling system. About the Role The Delivery Sequencing Manager is responsible for the program management and planning of extended track possessions across all Cross River Rail work packages. The role works closely with delivery contractors (PPP, Alliance and D&C) and key stakeholders (including Transport and Main Roads and Queensland Rail) to ensure delivery staging is logical, achievable within operational and customer constraints, and aligned with project priorities. With a significant pipeline of SEQ rail projects underway, the role also interfaces with other Transport and Main Roads rail projects to ensure CRR delivery is integrated and considers cumulative rail network impacts and requirements. This position reports to the Senior Possessions and Delivery Sequencing Manager and forms part of the Customer and Network Integration team. Key Responsibilities: Chair multi-agency working groups to develop and endorse extended possession applications, monitor readiness, and support robust, timely decision-making. Support contractors in applying for extended possessions, including access justification aligned with construction requirements. Coordinate state agencies to identify opportunities for extended possessions during low-demand periods and develop possession regimes aligned to broader rail activities. Monitor changes or risks in construction schedules that may impact possession plans, and lead the development of mitigation and contingency strategies. Prepare governance materials (e.g., feasibility assessments, options analyses, readiness assurance documents) and present structured information at the Delivery Sequencing Steering Committee. Manage communication with stakeholders across disciplines regarding possession program changes, ensuring accurate, timely updates and risk escalations. Maintain key processes, tools, and documentation in line with project requirements and governance frameworks. Lead and manage the Delivery Sequencing team, setting KPIs, supporting professional development, and aligning team efforts with project priorities.
