Sydney based Global Energy and BESS company Managing a bid team ABOUT THE CLIENT: A global constructor; our client delivers critical infrastructure projects across all industries in the energy sector, including wind, solar, energy, transmission and BESS. They operate on more than 50 countries, and are currently involved in delivering key projects of national significance in Australia. This role is based in Sydney and will be managing a team of bid engineers working on multiple projects simultaneuously. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: ● Reviewing tender documentation ensuring a full and complete understanding of the technical and commercial commitment. ● Leadinging the writing and production of compliant, compelling and client-focused bid submissions. ● Preparing bid writing plans, liaising with contributors to ensure timely input and completion of tender sections, and managing non-priced attribute review and feedback processes as per best-practice standards ● Employing critical thinking and problem-solving skills to help interpret and respond to bid/tender requirements. ● Contributing to the development of win strategies and ensuring they are clearly articulated and backed up by evidence throughout our submission ● Collaborating with Document Control to establish tender portals / folders, ensuring all relevant team members have access and folders are correctly populated. ● Liaising with tendering team members (Internal Stakeholders) to obtain relevant tender input / information in compliance with Elecnor’s Tender delivery standard. ● Working with the key members of the project team to obtain the information required to compile the bid. ● Overseeing the team during the bid process, ensuring internal deadlines are met and bids are submitted on time. ● Conducting risk assessment and management activities to evaluate all risks associated with the tender. ● Providing regular reports and recommendations on the progress of the tender and proposal. ● Ensuring compliance of Company responses in line with both Company and client requirements. ● Ensuring all presentation and grammatical aspects are of the highest standard. ● Coordinatinv and leading the preparation of tender project programs. ● Assisting the estimating team in delivering estimates as required. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE: ● Valid Australian work rights. ● Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred). ● Proven experience in tendering and bidding processes within the construction industry. ● Strong knowledge of project management principles. ● Proficiency in cost estimation and Microsoft Office applications. ● Experience in HV electrical estimating ● Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, standards, and best practices .
