About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Female Disability Support Worker (DSW) to support one of our female clients in Penrith, NSW, within a Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) setting. This role involves supporting a client with high physical care needs, so confidence with manual handling, bowel care, and catheter care is essential. You’ll also assist the client in community participation and maintaining their independence with dignity and respect as required. What You’ll Do Provide one-on-one, person-centred support for a client with physical disabilities Assist with bowel care, catheter care and other high personal care needs Support daily living tasks, mobility assistance, and manual handling Drive the client to medical appointments, community events, and shopping Observe and report changes in the client's condition or behaviour Maintain accurate records of care and communicate effectively with the care team Collaborate with families, allied health professionals, and Leora’s internal teams to ensure high-quality, holistic care About You You are a confident and capable support professional with a genuine passion for helping others live their best lives. You’re calm under pressure, sensitive to individual needs, and reliable in both home and community settings. You’ll have: Certificate III or IV in Disability, Individual Support, or related field Proven experience in personal care, including bowel and catheter care Strong understanding of manual handling and high physical care support Excellent communication and problem-solving skills A commitment to person-centred, dignified care Required: NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC) Valid First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle Why Leora?
