Key responsibilities As Senior Youth Worker you will specifically: - Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.- Provide assistance to the Program Coordinator/Team Coordinator in ensuring the delivery of high-quality service in accordance with relevant legislative provision, statutory delegations, departmental policies, procedures and contemporary best practice.- Develop weekly work rosters, matching young people subject to youth justice orders, with appropriate youth workers.- Negotiate with other Government and community agencies, on behalf of young people, so as to enhance their access to services in accordance with the case plan.- Conduct regular audits of Workplace Health and Safety issues in relation to agencies. Ensure that safety equipment is available, and all equipment used in conjunction with the Community Service Order Program is safe to operate.- Provide supervision and support to young people to assist with their compliance with court orders and reintegration into the community in accordance with the case plan- Maintain records of program attendance and prepare reports to assist case planning and reviews and attend these meetings as required.- Participate productively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team involving a range of internal and external stakeholders and service providers to achieve quality casework outcomes What we are looking for We will assess your suitability for this role by looking at what you've done previously - the knowledge, skills and experience you've built, your potential for development, and your personal qualities.
