You'll provide expert advice, deliver training, and support senior executives and Ministerial offices, all while driving continuous improvement and mentoring colleagues. The key duties of the position include You will be accountable to undertake a range of procedural, operational and administrative tasks, and activities. You will be accountable to organise your own work and deliver in accordance with your team leader's advice and team plans. As the positions will play a role in delivering key outcomes for the branch, depending upon the role, your key responsibilities could include the following: Conduct quality assurance checks on parliamentary documentation to ensure the highest standards are met for Ministerial offices and the Departmental Executive. Provide expert advice and support on appointments to boards, committees, and Agency Head positions within the portfolio. Deliver timely guidance to departmental officers and senior executives on the preparation, timing, and processes for Cabinet documents, responses, and briefing materials. Coordinate and deliver Cabinet training sessions and manage regular reporting processes to support Cabinet operations. Represent the department in consultations with external agencies and organisations on parliamentary and government matters. Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders, including Ministerial offices, to ensure the effective management of ministerial products and the delivery of accurate, timely information. Provide direct support to Ministerial offices, including backfilling Departmental Liaison Officer duties when required. Contribute to team outcomes by supporting the work of colleagues, mentoring junior staff, and aligning efforts with team goals and priorities. Identify and implement continuous process improvements to streamline services and modernise work practices. Develop policies, guidelines, and training materials to support understanding and compliance with parliamentary processes and preferences.
