The key duties of the position include The Role The Enterprise Functional Integration and Technology (EFIT) team within the ERP Support Organisation (ESO) is looking for an experienced Change and Release Manager to support the Service Transition team. You will be supporting the Assistant Director - Service Transition to drive processes and services to manage production releases, implementing tools and resources to ensure the transition of services to the live environment are well managed, planned and compliant. Key responsibilities of the APS6 Change and Release Manager include: Deliver Service Transition team initiatives in accordance with the strategic direction including release and deployment management, infrastructure software compliance, and the end-to-end release process for all ERP Support Organisation (ESO) systems including SAP, legacy and enduring applications. Assist with the development of a roadmap of key SAP and other legacy and enduring infrastructure and application deployments to provide a comprehensive view of environmental changes and deployments. About our Team The ERP Support Organisation is part of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), a key enabler of the One Defence reform agenda. ERP will standardise and integrate critical functions needed to run the Department into a single SAP platform resulting in a major capability uplift for Defence. Our Ideal Candidate An ideal candidate for this position would possess the following attributes: Qualifications in ICT and/or demonstrated proven experience with coordination and facilitation of Technology Change, Release & Deployment Management processes and procedures. Demonstrated experience with ICT and in particular SAP and/or similar related systems with transferable skills. Understanding the Solution Delivery Lifecycle and relationship to Change Management and Release & Deployment Management. Strong knowledge and understanding of the ITIL best practice framework, with ITIL Certification considered advantageous. Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information to understanding of a layperson. Ability to work accurately under pressure. Strong stakeholder management skills and an ability to influence and persuade others to work toward a common vision or goal.
