Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a major digital transformation program modernising critical regulatory and business systems. This long-term contract runs through to June 2026 , with potential for extension. You'll be joining a collaborative agile team working on innovative projects that support digital service delivery and a mobile workforce across Queensland. Key Responsibilities: Develop and document software solutions using Java and the Spring Framework (including Spring Boot, Rest, Data JPA, Security, Integration, and Cloud). Integrate with existing systems, including Oracle stored procedures and Microsoft Dataverse. Create and maintain automated unit and functional tests. Work in an Agile environment alongside business analysts, developers, and subject matter experts. Contribute to technical documentation and support knowledge transfer to operational teams. About You: Strong hands-on experience with Java and related Spring technologies. Proven ability to work with databases, ideally Oracle 18c . Solid understanding of software development best practices and version control. Experience in API integration , including SOAP, GraphQL, and third-party APIs (e.g. ASIC/ABR). Previous work in a complex enterprise or government/regulatory environment will be highly regarded. A self-starter with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
