IT Security Infrastructure Specialist Job Description: Role Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Security Infrastructure Specialist to provide specialized technical support, expert advice, and subject matter expertise for IT security systems and services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate broad and in-depth knowledge of IT security infrastructure implementation, management, operations, and solution delivery, shaping and delivering sound technical outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide expertise in planning, building, and running IT security infrastructure across various technologies. Manage, configure, and maintain enterprise-level firewalls (e.g., Checkpoint, F5, AWS, and Azure-native firewalls). Administer and update Akamai WAF policies. Oversee enterprise networking, including communication protocols, address translations, and network load balancers (NLBs). Support and manage cloud-native firewall solutions and technologies across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud. Utilize tools like AlgoSec or equivalent firewall policy management solutions effectively. Identify opportunities for automation to improve efficiency and ensure "always-on" performance. Apply strong enterprise-level problem, change, and incident management methodologies. Demonstrate technical proficiency in programming, system design, IT infrastructure, and database concepts. Maintain a robust understanding of IT security principles and the software development lifecycle. Core Skills & Capabilities Advanced technical expertise in infrastructure and security technologies. Proficiency with networking protocols and enterprise-level communications. Hands-on experience in cloud-native security technologies and associated tools. Strong understanding of automation frameworks and tools. Experience in enterprise IT problem-solving and incident management. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Relevant IT security certifications (e.g., CISM, CISSP). Cloud certifications, such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate) AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (Associate) AWS Certified Developer (Associate) Critical Experience Requirements 5 years of IT security experience in large enterprise environments (10,000 users across multiple geographies). Proven track record in deploying and supporting infrastructure and applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud platforms. Experience with firewall policy management tools such as AlgoSec. Demonstrated ability to scope, shape, and deliver IT security solutions. Preferred Experience Experience in enterprise-level IT security within geographically diverse environments. Strong knowledge of WAF, NLB, and cloud-based networking technologies. In-depth understanding of automation in IT security processes.
