We are currently seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Fitter to join a well-established Australian-owned business based in Pakenham. With a strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainability, this organisation manufactures cutting-edge environmental treatment products and offers a supportive and dynamic workplace culture. About the Role This is a full-time permanent position operating predominantly on day shift, with occasional weekend work and opportunities for overtime. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing production machinery and equipment across a busy manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities: Preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs Installation of new machinery and equipment General factory maintenance tasks Mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostics Welding, fabrication, and adjustments as needed Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities and spare parts Identifying and recommending process or machinery improvements Supporting continuous production operations and efficiency What We’re Looking For: Minimum 3 years’ experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Strong machining and lathe experience Proven skills in gearbox and motor repairs Advanced MIG and TIG welding skills Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues Experience with roto molding machinery highly regarded Current forklift license and valid driver’s license Full Australian working rights You’ll Bring: Excellent communication and time management skills A proactive, can-do attitude and strong team orientation High attention to detail and commitment to safety Reliability, pride in your work, and a willingness to learn Basic computer literacy What’s on Offer: Supportive and inclusive site culture Large, well-equipped workshop Personal workbench with all tools supplied Uniforms provided Ongoing job stability with a reputable manufacturer If you're ready to take the next step in your career with a company that values its people and offers long-term opportunities, we want to hear from you.
