About the Role We are seeking an experienced PCS (Power, Control, and Systems) Engineer to join Sojitz at their Crinum Underground operation. As the PCS Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, installing, and maintaining the electrical and control systems that keep the mine running safely and efficiently. Your work will cover everything from high-voltage power distribution to the automation of mining equipment and ventilation systems. You’ll also support the day-to-day operations by troubleshooting issues, helping the maintenance team, and making sure everything meets safety standards. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will directly impact the smooth and safe running of the site. General Role responsibilities will include: Ensuring systems comply with relevant safety standards and regulations, including conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments. Design and commission electrical and control systems for underground mining operations, including power distribution, automation, and communication networks. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and reliability of all electrical and control systems. Provide technical guidance and training to operations and maintenance teams on system use, fault-finding, and preventative measures. Collaborate with engineers, site personnel, and stakeholders to ensure systems are effectively integrated into mining operations. Support the planning and delivery of projects involving system upgrades, installations, and electrical infrastructure improvements. The successful candidates will have the following: Degree certificate in Engineering (or equivalent) Control systems engineering experience Strong understanding of engineering principles and industry standards.
