About this role A rare opportunity has become available in our market-leading Sydney Valuations team for a Manager or Senior Manager. This team leads the way in valuations excellence across the Asia-Pacific market and is a high-performing environment in which you can truly stand out, be recognised, and make a difference. You will be valued for your knowledge and commitment to the highest standards of technical expertise, as well as building and nurturing client relationships with a diverse client base, ranging from start-ups to international multi-billion infrastructure asset managers and major corporates. Key responsibilities You will take the lead on a variety of engagements from start to finish, including business and share valuations for tax and accounting purposes, valuations to support transactions, Independent Expert Reports and Purchase Price Allocations. Lead the preparation of high-quality accounting valuation reports and advice for a range of purposes, including Independent Expert’s Reports (or Fairness Opinions), Purchase Price Allocations and general business, equity and intangible asset valuations Undertake robust valuation assessments based on the full range of valuation methodologies, utilising best-practice financial modelling Oversee valuations research offering value-added insights into comparable companies and transactions, industry trends and market conditions Drive business development initiatives and participate in activities with a focus on growing the firm’s valuations practice As a senior member of the team, you will lead a team of valuations professionals on client engagements from end to end, providing coaching and development opportunities to team members on technical valuation matters. Skills and experience Required Relevant degree or accounting / finance professional qualification(s) Significant accounting valuations experience, ideally gained within an accounting, boutique valuations or investment firm setting Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to provide coaching and leadership to less experienced team members Autonomous working style with a sense of ownership, personal accountability, and pride in what you do Desirable CFA or MAppFin qualification(s) or other relevant overseas qualification(s) would be highly regarded If you’re interested in this role but don’t feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
