ABOUT THE ROLE We have an opportunity for a State General Manager to lead our fun and hardworking team in Welshpool/Perth, WA. Reporting to the company Directors this role offers a high level of autonomy while effectively managing all aspects of our auction business in Western Australia. Key responsibilities of this full-time, permanent role include: Building a client base in line with existing Slattery Auctions strategy while ensuring sales team maintains high auction clearance rates Managing the sales team to seek out new opportunities for the consignment of vehicles, T&M, equipment and other items Overseeing the auction management and managing the development of auction buyers Controlling state level costs to meet planned financial requirements including reviewing costs, income, and profit & loss statements to ensure financial health and optimisation of Slattery Auctions Directly contributing to the profitability of the branch while proactively influencing positive experience for both buyers and sellers Setting and accomplishing business objectives by establishing plans, budgets and results measurements, allocating resources, reviewing progress and making corrections as required Increasing management's effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, coaching, counselling and disciplining staff while communicating values, strategies and company objectives Assigning accountabilities, active planning, monitoring, and appraising job results Participate on developing incentives, developing a climate for offering information and opinions, and providing opportunities for learning and development Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing Slattery Auctions standards Ensuring policies and procedures are implemented and consistent with other branches Directly contributing to the safe operations of the site by implementing OH&S systems and practices ABOUT YOU You are a highly experienced Senior Manager with a strong track record in leadership, operational and financial delivery.
