The role is only open to Adelaide based candidates ABOUT THE JOB: We are seeking a dedicated Data Engineer to join the App Team and take ownership of all data-related development and maintenance tasks within the Customer Engagement (CE) program , including the OTR App . This role will bridge the gap between the app team and the data function, enabling faster turnaround on data dependencies without overloading the Head of Data. The specialist will work closely with the Head of Data and App Developers to: Build and maintain MS SQL Server databases used in CE apps Integrate with D365 and ERP systems (via SSIS and other methods) Create and manage views, stored procedures, and exports from Data Lake Enable seamless data flows for business-critical features in production This role is critical to improving speed, scalability, and reliability in app development and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Own and manage SQL Server databases powering CE apps (e.g., OTR App) Build, maintain, and optimize stored procedures, views, and schemas Support data exports/imports between Azure Data Lake, D365, and app DBs Develop and maintain SSIS packages for ERP and other systems integration Collaborate with Head of Data for standards, validation, and alignment Troubleshoot data performance issues and drive DB improvements Work closely with .NET developers to support app features requiring data access Ensure data governance, quality, and documentation Required Skills & Experience: Strong proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server (views, procs, indexing, tuning) Experience with SSIS for data integration and automation Experience with Azure Data Lake Ability to work across data exports, transformations, and app ingestion Solid understanding of relational database design and optimization Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams with developers Experience in D365 Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills (Nice to have) Experience with Power BI datasets or reporting pipelines
