General Manager – Residential Parks & Communities Are you ready to take the lead on public policy, advocacy and stakeholder strategy for one of Victoria’s most important and fast-evolving housing sectors? A well-established, independent industry association is seeking a values-led and politically astute General Manager – Residential Parks . This newly created senior role will focus on championing the interests of operators in the residential park and land lease community space, ensuring their voice is heard at the highest levels of government and industry. You’ll work closely with the CEO and a tight-knit leadership team to shape sector policy, influence decision-makers, and strengthen engagement with members and stakeholders across Victoria. What You’ll Do Drive implementation of a priority policy agenda, including key recommendations designed to improve sector outcomes Represent the industry in meetings with government officials, policy makers, and advisory groups Build strategic alliances with other housing and development organisations to support advocacy efforts Retain and grow residential park membership by clearly communicating value and industry benefits Identify and respond to regulatory, planning and housing reform proposals that impact members Lead the preparation of government submissions, briefing papers, and position statements Contribute to media engagement and crisis communications planning when needed Maintain an issues register and provide advice to the CEO and board on emerging risks or opportunities Who You Are You have a background in planning, housing, property, government relations, public policy or a related advocacy field You’re an excellent communicator – confident writing policy papers or presenting to government and industry stakeholders You’re skilled at building trust-based relationships and navigating complex political or regulatory environments You’re a strategic thinker with the ability to manage competing priorities across policy, communications and member relations You’re motivated by purpose and thrive in small, fast-moving teams where your ideas and initiative are welcomed You understand the dynamics of peak bodies, member organisations or not-for-profits (or are keen to learn) You bring humility, grit and a genuine desire to drive sector-level change for the benefit of communities What’s on Offer A unique opportunity to influence housing policy and industry outcomes Build and promote your network in Property Hybrid working (Clayton-based office home flexibility) A collaborative, values-driven culture with direct access to the CEO Competitive salary commensurate with experience and motivation Make your mark on the future of housing in Victoria.
