The National Offshore Petroleum Safety and Environmental Management Authority (NOPSEMA) is Australia's independent expert regulator for health and safety, structural integrity, well integrity and environmental management for all offshore energy operations and greenhouse gas storage activities in Commonwealth waters, and in coastal waters where regulatory powers and functions have been conferred. NOPSEMA also administers the functions of the Offshore Infrastructure Regulator (OIR), for the offshore renewables industry. This includes the regulation of work health and safety, infrastructure integrity, and environmental management for offshore renewable energy infrastructure activities. Working with NOPSEMA provides an opportunity to make a real difference to people working in Australia's offshore energy industry. NOPSEMA maintains a temporary employment register of interested applicants to fill Non-ongoing (fixed term) roles for periods of up to 12 months within its Regulatory Operations Division. NOPSEMA may use the register to fill Non-ongoing (fixed term), full-time, part-time or casual positions in its Perth or Melbourne Offices, depending on business requirements in the following areas: Asset integrity programs associated with ageing assets. Process safety and technical safety. Construction vessel operations. Control and instrumentation. Design notification. Diving - commercial diving - offshore petroleum. Drilling operations. Drilling, completions, and intervention and / or petroleum engineering, production technology and sub-surface disciplines. Heavy lift operations. Investigation and compilation of briefs of evidence of accidents, dangerous occurrences and reportable incidents. Light well intervention. Marine operations associated with offshore petroleum facilities including FPSOs, MODUs and moored platforms. Class and marine systems. Mechanical engineering - offshore petrochemical facilities. Offshore energy facilities, including renewables (fixed or marine) - overall asset integrity management, including reliability basement, inspection, preventative and remedial maintenance and modification programs. Offshore energy facility, construction (including subsea), pipelay, structural, or marine engineering including naval architecture. Operational management. Pipeline engineering, design, construction, operation, and integrity management of petroleum pipelines. Planning, design, construction, operation and management of wells and well control. Process engineering including LNG. Reliability engineering - predictive and proactive maintenance management in offshore petrochemical facilities. Risk management. Vessel-based decommissioning.
