Description About the role – full-time, fixed term contract for 12-months We’re looking for an experienced Program Test Manager to lead the end-to-end testing strategy across a major enterprise-wide customer Transition program. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of all data migration and integration initiatives across the bank. You will be accountable for managing testing activities across multiple projects involving legacy system decommissioning, cloud data platforms, and large-scale data migrations. Your focus will be on ensuring test governance, data quality validation, automation integration, and stakeholder confidence throughout the program lifecycle. What you’ll be doing: Test Strategy & Governance: Develop and maintain a comprehensive Test Strategy covering functional, integration, performance and reconciliation testing for data migration. Quality Assurance Leadership: Oversee all functional and non-functional testing including data integrity, accuracy, completeness, performance, and risk-based testing aligned with business and regulatory needs. This role requires a strategic mindset with the flexibility to be hands-on when needed whether reviewing test evidence, supporting defect triage, or assisting with complex data validations Team & Vendor Management: Lead and coach a team of Test Leads, Analysts, and vendor testers to ensure consistent delivery, uplift capability, and promote a culture of quality and ownership. Automation Integration: Drive adoption of automation for regression and data validation (across SQL, APIs, Frontend UI), embedding test automation in CI/CD where applicable. Data Validation: Ensure robust testing frameworks are in place for validation and reconciliation of migrated datasets. Environment & Resource Planning: Manage test environments, data provisioning, and coordinate with platform and infrastructure teams for readiness. Stakeholder Engagement: Provide clear test progress updates, risk-based reporting, and defect analytics to Program Directors, Data Governance, and Business Sponsors. Collaborate with project managers, data architects, business analysts, and vendors to align testing with migration milestones. Cutover Support & Risk Management: Support go/no-go readiness, coordinate production validation post cutover, and contribute to rollback planning and execution risk assessments. Documentation & Compliance: Maintain audit-ready test evidence, data test scripts, and reports that align with the bank’s compliance and data security policies. About you: Proven experience (15 years) in software quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a senior Test Manager or Program Test Manager role across data migration or transformation initiatives. Demonstrated ability to deliver complex data migration programs and large-scale data platform modernisation. Deep understanding of test practices across Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Knowledge of Core banking platforms, processes and CRMs systems such as Salesforce. Hands-on experience with testing tools (e.g. JIRA, HP ALM, qTest), automation frameworks (e.g. Tosca, Postman, Playwright, Python). Strong leadership skills, with experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing technical and business stakeholders. Experience designing and embedding QA metrics, dashboards, and test coverage reports to drive continuous improvement. Excellent problem-solving, prioritisation, and stakeholder communication skills.
