The Role We are seeking a dedicated Senior Policy Officer who will support the development of an implementation plan and communications plan for Sport and Recreation Victoria's Aboriginal Sporting Partnership (VASP) following the endorsement of the Partnership Strategy and Action plan. You will scope and project manage other VASP related initiatives included in the VASP action plan, including monitoring and evaluation frameworks, analysis of current and best practice models to align to best practice to deliver better outcomes for Aboriginal Victorians. You will have demonstrated ability to provide authoritative advice to internal and external stakeholders and senior management; prepare and present detailed reports, ministerial briefs, ministerial correspondence and event briefs, contribute to cabinet and agency submissions on complex matters; engage, initiate, build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate a partnership approach with Aboriginal community, government and representatives of the Victorian community sport and recreation sector to support the delivery of agreed programs and projects. In this role, you will be a leader in the Aboriginal Programs Team, supporting Aboriginal community organisations, community members, sport and recreation sector organisations, and key government stakeholders to improve access and participation outcomes for Aboriginal communities across Victoria. You will provide up to date and relevant information to Senior Leaders in the Community Sport portfolio in relation to Treaty and other Whole of Victorian Government initiatives and strategies related to Aboriginal Victorians.
