This position is in the Digital Engineering branch of Digital Customer (SSQ) and manages a team including of two other staff.As the Business Intelligence Manager, you will:- Review Digital Customer Smart Service (SSQ) strategic plan (s) and operational processes in order to assess Digital Customer (SSQ's) business intelligence capability and ensure the alignment with business requirements.- Define the organisation's mission for the delivery of information, analytics platforms, and other data/information solutions to clients and staff.- Develop an implementation approach for the customer and business reporting strategy.- Develop and conceptualise data warehouse architecture (e.g. including specification requirements), while considering business process models to maintain and ensure data integrity.- Develop, maintain and disseminate information management policies and procedures, across Digital Customer (SSQ), to ensure effective data governance.- Maintain Digital Customer (SSQ) data dictionary, to ensure end users have a consistent and thorough understanding of data related information.- Manage training requirements for end users across Digital Customer (SSQ), to develop knowledge of the business intelligence environment, and ensure information is used appropriately (e.g. reporting capabilities, requirements and security).- Manage, identify, and foster data stewardship principles amongst Digital Customer (SSQ) users to ensure accountability, quality control and data integrity. - Consult and provide expert advice to internal stakeholders regarding reporting frameworks and data requirements, to ensure reporting mechanisms and specifications meet business requirements.- Liaise, consult and provide recommendations to internal stakeholders, regarding the design, and development of business intelligence capabilities (e.g. systems, information and methods) to ensure business objectives are met.- Educate and facilitate an understanding and commitment to information management systems, processes, and procedures, across Digital Customer (SSQ) to ensure information is recognised and utilised as an asset. This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position.
