This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) as part of the recent Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently in negotiations for a certified agreement to cover all CDSB employees. In the meantime, the Core Agreement conditions apply to this position. As the Senior Business Analyst, you will:- Consult, liaise and participate with clients, stakeholders and end users in relation to all aspects of business improvement initiatives including the development, review and sign-off of business improvement assessment reports, As Is and To Be business process models and business requirements documentation.- Support the end-to-end implementation lifecycle, including user acceptance testing, change readiness, and go-live activities to ensure successful adoption of new processes and systems.- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to understand pain points and co design solutions that improve experience and operational outcomes, including leading workshops relating to business process redesign and process reengineering.- Manage the resolution of business related issues, including the researching of policy, development of options and providing recommendations to the business sponsors.- Develop specifications of business rules necessary to support business modelling and liaise with technical staff to ensure that business requirements are met.- Assist in developing new business proposals, identifying business opportunities, preparing business cases and conducting business and business system analyses.- Analyse business data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement, translating findings into actionable recommendations. - Use data visualisation and analytics tools to support evidence-based decision making and communicate insights to stakeholders.- Contribute to the development and management of business continuity and recovery plans.
