About the Role: As a Data Management Officer within the Business Intelligence team, you will be administrating information systems including the department's Centre Information System (CIS), Schools Directory, Corporate Phone Directory, and the branch's Performance Analysis and Reporting Systems (PARS). You will provide system advice and technical support to users and liaise with IT&T teams on technical requirements, systems development and maintenance. Responsibilities include, but not limited to; Participate in the development and maintenance of information systems for the provision of accurate, reliable and appropriate data to meet the requirements of decision makers, managers and planners at departmental, State and Australian government levels. Liaise with other officers across the department to manage expectations, gain a broader knowledge of user needs/desires and to identify data sharing opportunities. Ensure the accuracy, reliability and security of data required for analytical and reporting purposes. Implement system controls to ensure the quality, security and integrity of data collections. Identify, documenting and testing requirements for enhancements to various information systems. Maintain access security within Microsoft SQL, SharePoint and Power BI. Write SQL and PowerShell scripts for ad hoc requests and/or system testing. Assist in the formulation and preparation of reports, submissions and briefings regarding complex performance measurement, benchmarking, monitoring and reporting issues.
