We’re seeking a qualified Social Worker to lead and deliver high-quality, child-focused early intervention services as part of our Targeted Early Intervention (TEI) program. You’ll work with families facing complex challenges, supporting children and young people aged 0–18. The focus of this position is to provide high level quality child focused early intervention specialist casework. Reporting to the Specialist Lead, you will provide families with complex needs in the early intervention service for the Northern Sydney region. This is a permanent part-time (4 days p/week) role. Consideration will be given to those applicants seeking for full time hours (5 days p/week). We provide flexible work options after successful completion of the 6-month probation period. Incumbent can chose to work from the different offices – Waitara, Aratarmon or Brookvale. What You’ll Do: Deliver trauma-informed case management and early intervention support to families. Supervise and mentor two social work students. Conduct needs-based assessments and develop tailored case plans. Coordinate referrals and collaborate with internal and external services. Advocate for clients across housing, legal, and welfare systems. Provide outreach support and maintain accurate case documentation. Respond effectively to crisis situations and mitigate risk. To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree in Social Work (essential) 3–4 years’ experience in casework, ideally in early intervention Experience supervising or mentoring junior staff or students Strong understanding of trauma, mental health, AOD, and DV issues Excellent advocacy, networking, and crisis management skills NSW Driver’s Licence and access to a fully insured vehicle Why choose CatholicCare?
