Cabana Bar, one of Sydney’s most vibrant inner-city hospitality venues, is seeking a passionate and talented Chef to join our kitchen team. Located in the heart of the CBD, Cabana Bar is known for its stylish atmosphere, creative menu, and exceptional service. We are on the hunt for a chef who can bring skill, creativity, and consistency to our food offering. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes across various sections of the kitchen. Ensure all meals are made to the standard of the venue and consistently delivered to quality expectations. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety in the kitchen. Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team on menu planning, specials, and food presentation. Monitor inventory, control stock levels, and ensure correct storage and rotation of ingredients. Uphold food safety standards and ensure compliance with health regulations (HACCP). Support training and mentoring of junior kitchen staff and apprentices. Maintain a clean, organised and efficient workstation during service. Contribute ideas for seasonal menus, events, and promotions. Work collaboratively with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience as a Chef in a busy, high-quality kitchen. Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent). Strong understanding of modern Australian cuisine and seasonal cooking. Excellent communication and time-management skills. Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A team player with a positive, solutions-focused attitude. Flexible to work across evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
