This role has your name all over it. We’re seeking a Senior Sous Chef for a vibrant venue blending high-energy dining, functions, and events. You’ll support the Head Chef in all aspects of the kitchen, lead shifts when they’re off, and play a key role in shaping the menu, the team, and the guest experience. What’s on the pass: Base salary $85 - $100K Super Hands-on position with menu input and event execution A bustling, high-volume venue delivering à la carte, functions, and special events You’ll be leading the charge on: Supporting the Head Chef in daily operations, leading the kitchen in their absence Mentoring and developing junior chefs while maintaining a positive, inclusive team culture Driving consistency and quality across à la carte, functions, and events Contributing to seasonal menu development and R&D trials Managing stock rotation, waste reduction, and assisting with cost control Collaborating with FOH to ensure a seamless guest experience Stepping up for major events, activations, and large-volume services You bring: Senior Sous or strong Sous Chef experience in high-volume Mediterranean or modern European kitchens Confidence leading a team and service with calm, clear communication A passion for flavour, presentation, and guest satisfaction Solid knowledge of kitchen systems, WHS, HACCP, and cost management A collaborative mindset - you work with FOH, events, and management to deliver a shared vision This is your chance to step into a pivotal role in a standout Western Sydney venue where you’ll have influence, impact, and a pathway to more.
