Leading NSW State Government Cluster Initial 12 Month Contract $690/day Super | Sydney CBD About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Contracts Officer to play a critical role in driving best-practice commercial outcomes and managing sourcing, contract administration and supplier management within a cluster of the NSW State Government. Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end sourcing and contract administration activities for a diverse range of goods and services. Provide commercial analysis and insights to support contract negotiations and deliver value-for-money outcomes. Draft, review and manage contract instruments, variations, and scopes of work in conjunction with legal and procurement teams. Liaise and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders including internal clients, suppliers, legal, procurement and audit. Prepare and maintain all sourcing documentation and contract records in line with university policies and assurance frameworks. Provide guidance and advice on procurement systems (e.g., ARIBA) and support management reporting on contract activity. Ensure strong compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and controls for contract management. Requirements: Proven experience in contracts sourcing, administration, and procurement, ideally within a complex or high-volume environment. Strong commercial acumen with a focus on value-for-money, supplier management, and effective stakeholder engagement. Advanced skills in MS Office (especially Excel for financial/commercial analysis and Word for contract preparation). Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and resolve conflicts. Experience in drafting and negotiating complex contract documents. High integrity and commitment to supporting strategic deliverables and continuous improvement.
