About the role We are currently looking for a capable Lawyer/Associate to join the Melbourne Property team, working with Partner Clare Batrouney and the wider property team. This is a great opportunity to develop your experience and work within a busy and high performing team. The group works with a mix of clients across private and public sector, including state government departments and agencies, local councils, corporates, institutions and developers. Key responsibilities will include: Assisting in reviewing, drafting and negotiating property-related agreements including contracts, leases, licences, development agreements. Working with the team to provide comprehensive advice to public and private sector clients across a broad range of commercial property transactions. Advising land owners in relation to the development of land including advising on development agreements. About you In order to be successful in this role you will have the following: 2-4 years experience working in a commercial property or real estate team within private practice. Strong academics, exceptional written and verbal communication. Clear drafting skills, attention to detail and the ability to deliver legally sound solutions. Proven track record in drafting and reviewing contracts of sale, leases and other property-related agreements. Ability to manage competing deadlines.
