NOW HIRING: Mechanical Fitter – Field Service Smithfield, NSW | $99K OT Bonus | Ute, Phone, Laptop Provided Permanent | Full-Time | Field Workshop Work We are working with a top-tier industrial company in the power transmission space, and they’re growing their NSW footprint! We’re on the lookout for a skilled Mechanical Fitter with solid field service experience. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a mix of hands-on workshop work and on-site service/repair jobs. You'll be based in Smithfield , but when needed, you'll be out in the field—traveling across NSW, interstate, and occasionally overseas (about once every 3 years). The Role: Service, overhaul and repair mechanical/hydraulic equipment in the field and workshop Fault-finding, strip-downs, rebuilds—working with big, high-value components Use overhead cranes and lifting gear where needed Build strong relationships with customers, complete service reports Travel when required – ute, fuel card and toll pass included (with private use!) ✅ We’re Looking For: Cert III in Mechanical Engineering or similar 5 years’ experience in mechanical fitting (field service background preferred) Comfortable reading manuals, troubleshooting, and working independently Forklift ticket and crane experience? Big plus.
