About the Role As a Senior Associate, you will work closely with leading partners on significant employment and industrial relations matters. You will advise on employment entitlements, performance and misconduct issues, discrimination, enterprise bargaining, and industrial disputes. The role involves managing litigation before the Fair Work Commission, state and federal courts, and advising clients on compliance, risk and strategy. You will support and mentor junior lawyers, contribute to thought leadership, and engage directly with clients across both the private and public sectors. Key Responsibilities Advise on employment contracts, terminations, performance management and workplace investigations Act on industrial matters including enterprise bargaining, protected action, and right of entry disputes Manage employment litigation in state and federal courts and before the Fair Work Commission Draft employment documentation, policies and workplace agreements Support clients through workplace change processes including restructures and redundancies Provide guidance on discrimination, bullying, harassment and workplace safety obligations Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team Practice Focus Workplace relations, industrial strategy and compliance Executive employment, discrimination and general protections disputes Fair Work Commission and industrial tribunal advocacy Enterprise bargaining and modern award interpretation Public sector, education, health and corporate clients Candidate Profile 5–8 years' post-qualification experience in employment and/or industrial relations law Demonstrated experience in litigation, enterprise bargaining, workplace investigations and advisory work Strong technical knowledge of the Fair Work Act and related employment legislation Excellent written and verbal communication skills and commercial judgement What’s on Offer Work with leading employment law partners and major national clients Join a firm consistently ranked as an employer of choice in the legal profession A clear path to leadership and strong internal promotion culture Collaborative team culture with hybrid working and genuine flexibility Competitive remuneration aligned with experience and contribution How to Apply Advisory & Litigation Experience: Highlight experience in Fair Work Commission matters, industrial disputes, or complex advisory work.
