As the Child Health Nurse, you will play a critical role in improving health outcomes for Aboriginal children from birth to five years of age. You will work closely with families, providing culturally sensitive care, education, and support, while also collaborating with a midwife and other health professionals to ensure seamless care and development for the children in the community. Job Details Base Salary: Up to $110,935.00 per annum Allowances: District allowance, housing allowance, leave loading of up to 17.5%, electricity allowance, and annual airfares all provided Relocation Assistance: Up to $2,000, reimbursed through receipts. Annual Leave: 5 weeks annual leave Housing: $13,000 per annum ($250 per week) allowance provided Generous salary sacrificing options available Permanent full time position Opportunities for professional development Your role will be to: Provide high-quality clinical care, including monitoring child development, identifying delays, and referring to medical and allied health services as needed. Implement programs aimed at improving early childhood health outcomes, ensuring children are healthy, ready to start school, and able to thrive. Collaborate with the Midwife to integrate maternal and child health services and family support programs through a place-based approach. Provide leadership in clinical service delivery, including mentoring and supporting other team members. Engage in community outreach to promote cooperative working relationships with other health service providers. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation and data, contributing to continuous quality improvement initiatives. To be eligible you must: Have full AHPRA registration with no restrictions Postgraduate qualification in Child Health. Demonstrated high level of clinical skills relevant to child health. Strong understanding of the health challenges and barriers faced by Aboriginal women and children. Proven ability to develop and manage health programs, meeting key performance indicators. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Commitment to ongoing professional development, evidence-based practice, and quality assurance. Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).
