ABOUT THE POSITION This position will provide the successful candidate with the chance to apply their knowledge, learn new skills and work as a team. The ideal candidate for this role has 2 years' experience in the manufacturing sector, pays strong attention to detail and is committed to workplace safety. The position of a Laser Operator is responsible for the operation of the plasma cutter, overhead gantry crane and where needed forklifts to achieve efficient, on time and quality cutting for supply. The successful applicant will need experience in a similar role working with steel and fabrication materials. FULL-TIME POSITION Afternoon Shift - Monday to Friday 2:00pm to 10:30pm ABOUT YOU Previous experience in operating plasma cutter and overhead gantry crane. Experience in manual handling Ability to interpret and work off nests Ability to measure using various types of measuring equipment (Vernier, calliper's and micrometers) Have a strong work ethic Plan workload to achieve daily targets Give significant attention to detail Maintain the highest safety standards High level organisation skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting deadlines. Clear problem solver, proven ability to understand and deal with difficult questions or situations.
