They are seeking a dynamic Depot Manager / Business Development Manager to lead a reinvented role that combines depot operations with active business development. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of a busy depot while also driving commercial growth in the local area. ABOUT THE ROLE This full-time, on-site position is based at the Bayswater depot and offers a mix of hands-on leadership and strategic outreach. The successful candidate will oversee daily operations, lead a small and stable team, and be responsible for driving new business across 3 out of 5 working days. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Managing the overall operation of the depot to ensure safety, cleanliness, staff coordination, and service delivery Leading and motivating a team of 3 onsite staff within a broader roster of 15–16 Developing new business and expanding commercial bin supply agreements (an easy sell with education and support provided) Meeting and exceeding KPIs related to volume and client engagement Promoting high standards in depot presentation, staff retention, and operational consistency Representing the site in the local community and with commercial clients THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Brings strong operational experience, ideally within depots, trade centres, or waste/recycling environments Is confident, reliable, and able to manage both people and processes effectively Has a natural ability to build rapport and drive business at a grassroots level Shows initiative, pride in presentation, and attention to detail Understands the importance of KPIs, performance metrics, and team motivation Holds a current driver’s licence (a site vehicle is provided) WHAT'S ON OFFER?
