The Role You will be the Commercial BDM in the business and this will give you the opportunity to be the face nationally and handle major accounts and work with numerous decision makers. As the commercial division of the business grows, you will have the opportunity to build and lead a team of successful commercial sales executives. Target clients will include Architects & Interior Designers, builders, developers and various end users. A consultative, solutions-based sales approach will be your strongest attribute, and your relationships and reputation are key to your success. You will work closely with the local state-based retail and logistics teams depending on project location and be supported by dedicated administration staff. You will have some flexibility and autonomy but will work primarily from the head office in Rouse Hill, ensuring the continuity of great team culture and interaction with key areas of the business. Responsibilities and Skills Required We are seeking individuals who can demonstrate the following skills: Previous experience in a specification sales role within the commercial furniture industry. Established contacts and relationships with local clients, builders, and end users. Proven success in working toward sales targets and KPI’s. Dynamic and solutions-based approach to project consultation. Build and maintain stakeholder relationships at all levels. Prospect clients through research and networking. Manage sales administration and operations. Report on performance and streamline process where possible. Develop a comprehensive strategic business plan. Promote company culture and values. Attend and present at external meetings to promote business development. Superb communication, energy, drive, presentation skills and passion for being client facing, closing deals, and building relationships. Strong team player who is able to work autonomously and who is proactive in their sales approach. Strong work ethic with the view to grow professionally and personally. Self-motivation, initiative, and ability to adapt. Proven track record in sales and business development and desire to build a long-term career. The Package The starting base salary is negotiable based on your industry experience. The package will include a car allowance, phone allowance, laptop and a genuine, uncapped commission structure based on growth.
