Working in a fast-paced Cellar Door, your role will be to engage with diverse clientele, conduct wine tastings, and generate memberships and sales for St Maur Wines as well as managing the wine club. The responsibilities of the role include: Cellar Door Management Point of contact and “the face” of cellar door operations Daily oversight of cellar door operations: open/close of premise Facilitate and conduct wine tastings for customers Maintain sound knowledge of company and actively promote the sale of the company’s wine products and promotional materials Maximise sales opportunities by upselling wine aiming to increase customer expenditure Have a sound knowledge on usage of till and EFTPOS facilities Maintaining and building wine sales via both direct cellar door and membership Create a memorable experience by greeting all visitors and pouring wines for tasting Wine Club Management: A combination of customer service and sales Maintain and grow the wine club membership program through registration, sales and promotions Interface with wine club members and consumers in a timely, courteous, and upbeat manner. Assist with their wine selection Educate members on any new releases Update members about the on-goings in the winery Build and maintain constant relationships with wine club members Plan, execute and attend on-site monthly events for current and potential wine club members Organizing and coordinate casual staff for floor and kitchen –> ensuring impeccable service is provided to the guests Maintain guest list and any dietary requirements Develop and execute strategic plans to increase sales and profits of our Wine Club Promoting private dining room to members for personal usage or private events Aiming to sign up corporate members to use the space for executive dinners, team exercise thereby increasing wine club memberships Plan and execute monthly club shipments accurately, and timely Retain existing club members through customer engagement, consistent follow-up and outstanding customer service Marketing Maintain and increase social media presence with constant posting on Instagram, Facebook Writing monthly blogs Grow wine club membership through creative marketing events and marketing programs Create materials related to wine club, including welcome packets, tasting notes, emails, event invitations, and scheduling and delivery notices Development of brand awareness and online reputation Maintain and constantly update website Increase site visitation with SEO and engaging content Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews Oversee social media accounts design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout) Wholesale Customers Service and maintaining existing wholesale customers in the Southern Highlands Regularly check on stock levels of customers and offer delivery Develop brand awareness and business through identifying new potential customers Grow current database through on-premise and off-premise clients Continue to meet and exceed monthly sales targets Executing brand plans, educating customers on key features and benefits whilst completing weekly call plans and providing feedback to management Organize in-store tastings to promote product and brand awareness Office Admin Deal with correspondence and phone enquiries and process, prepare and despatch phone/email orders Wine stock management including monthly stocktake and reporting Preparing weekly, monthly, half yearly and end of year reports Work quickly and diligently to coordinate setup, service and pack down Manage, effectively communicate to, train, coordinate and motivate the cellar door team KEY SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Possession of Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Current Drivers Licence and own transport Passionate about wine and with an intermediate knowledge of wines Outstanding/excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail The ability to build rapport with our customers Strong administrative skills Strong computer skills, notably Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Self-motivated team player who is engaging and possesses exceptional organizational skills Previous supervisory and/or events experience in cellar door restaurants, function centres, corporate environments, fine dining restaurants or 5-star hotels Demonstrate strong work ethic and customer service focussed Must live in or be willing to relocate to the Southern Highlands Please send a copy of your resume and write us a cover letter that demonstrates how your experience and skills suit this role and why you would make a great addition to our team.
