(Senior) Geotechnical Engineer - Work across multiple projects - Mining A global EPCM, who work with some of the most renowned mining companies, are looking for a Perth / office based Geotechnical Engineer to work across a variety of sustaining capital projects. The role is diverse across mining and heavy haul rail projects, responsible for brownfield construction and site expansions. The company will consider those at Engineer or Senior Engineer level, with plenty of opportunity for growth within the orgnisation. It is also a great chance to be involved in some pivotal projects across WA, expanding your experience in a supportive environment. What you will be responsible for: Working closely with project teams delivering brownfield rail and sustaining capital projects. Most of the time you’ll be Perth-based, with occasional site visits. Contributing to geotechnical assessments, analysis, and design work across a variety of heavy haul rail jobs, in the mining sector. Managing and interpreting site investigation data, ensuring quality reporting and risk awareness in ground conditions. Liaising with civil and structural engineers, as well as project managers, to integrate geotechnical recommendations into design and construction plans. Using geotechnical software and data platforms like gINT, OpenGround, or GIS tools to support design decisions and project reporting. What we are looking for: Ideally 3 to 10 years of experience as a Geotechnical Engineer, with exposure to brownfield or sustaining capital rail projects. A degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering Solid experience with geotechnical logging, interpretation, and data management. OpenGround, gINT, and GIS skills will definitely stand out. Comfortable working across a range of ground conditions, but ideally not coming from a pure hard rock background. Someone who can hold their own in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and communicate well with both office-based teams and site crews.
