Due to rapid expansion and a busy project pipeline, we are seeking an experienced and fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic to maintain and repair a modern fleet of heavy civil plant and equipment. Your Responsibilities: Perform scheduled maintenance and repair work on heavy earthmoving machinery, including excavators, dozers, graders, rollers, tippers, and more Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical faults Conduct breakdown and emergency repairs on-site and in the workshop Keep accurate records of maintenance logs, service schedules, and parts usage Ensure all machinery complies with site safety standards and SafeWork requirements Liaise with site supervisors and equipment operators regarding maintenance needs Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace in line with WHS policies ✅ What We’re Looking For: Fully qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (Cert III or equivalent) 3–5 years’ experience working on civil and earthmoving machinery (essential) Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills across hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems White Card and current driver’s licence Ability to work autonomously and take initiative Excellent communication and time management skills MR or HR licence (advantageous) Previous experience with subdivisions or bulk earthworks machinery is highly desirable What’s on Offer: Competitive pay rates penalty rates for overtime Permanent position with long-term job security Stable work with a growing civil contractor with over 20 years in the industry Opportunity to work on some of NSW’s most prominent land development and infrastructure projects Supportive workshop and site teams Tools, PPE, and equipment provided How to Apply: To apply, send your CV to johnnyf@harrisonbarratt.com.au or call 0481 690 179 for a confidential discussion.
