About the company This Council is based in a region that is just 2 hours from Sydney, and is the perfect location to escape the city bustle About the role This role is responsible for overseeing and leading regulatory environmental health programs and regulatory operations for the council. Reports to the Director People and Places.This an onsite position. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation. Manage animal control services and the operation of the animal shelter. Oversee inspections of various premises to ensure public health and safety. Provide oversight of environmental water sampling and contaminated land assessments. Skills & experience 4-6 years of experience in environmental health, regulatory services, or a related field. Strong understanding of relevant environmental legislation , including the Protection of the Environment Operations Act 1997 and the Companion Animals Act 1998.
