We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and experienced Disability Support Worker to assist a participant with a high-level spinal cord injury. Our participant directs all aspects of his care and is seeking workers who have good communication skills. This is an overnight role and requires someone with demonstrated experience in providing complex 1:1 care and supports person centered care and choice and control. What’s in it for me? Opportunities to access further training and development What will I be responsible for? Overnight personal care including repositioning and personal care tasks as directed by the participant. Domestic support such as cleaning, laundry. Client-directed care: you must be able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently. Adhere to a detailed and structured care plan Maintain a respectful and low-profile presence in the home How will I help? You will empower participants to achieve their goals and support them and their individual care needs in areas such as wellbeing, housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care needs and daily activities such as trips to the shops or social outings. What do I need?
