About the role: We are currently seeking a Hotel Services Assistant - Catering to join our team at our Hope Valley Residential Aged Care Facility . In this role, you will play a vital part in enriching the daily lives of our residents by preparing and serving high-quality, nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences. Working closely with both the Hotel Services and Care teams, you’ll help create a positive and welcoming dining experience by ensuring safe food handling, professional service, and attention to detail. We offer both part-time and casual shifts throughout the week, providing flexible scheduling to suit your lifestyle. What You’ll Do: Prepare and serve fresh, high-quality meals aligned with individual care plans Assist with modified texture and special diet meals Ensure meals are well-presented and contribute to a positive dining experience Maintain food safety, hygiene, and documentation standards Rotate stock and keep work areas clean and organised Respond to consumer feedback and support continuous improvement Work respectfully and professionally with consumers and team members Perform other duties as required to support catering services What You’ll Bring: Experience in a similar catering, hospitality, or kitchen assistant role (aged care experience highly regarded) Certificate III in Hospitality, Food Services or Health Support (desirable) Ability to deliver respectful, person-centred service aligned with individual dietary needs Competence in using commercial kitchen equipment and following food safety procedures Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills Awareness of hygiene, food safety, and infection control practices Special Conditions: This is an NDIS risk-assessed role – a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance is required Candidates will be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment Must follow safe work practices, including manual handling and chemical safety Flexibility to work across a range of shifts and support multiple Lutheran Homes Group sites if required In line with current health guidelines for the aged care sector, candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
