They are currently searching for an experienced Renewable Energy Technologist (Full-time, 38 hours a week) to join their Team in East Brisbane, QLD-4169. The successful candidate will work closely with their solar technical team. This position will also require to interact with suppliers, sub-contractors, customers and the electricity authorities. Your Role Within Ecosolarpower Australia's Development team in Brisbane, you will develop utility-scale solar, and energy storage projects from the site identification phase to the hand-over to our installation team. Your position will involve occasional travels within Australia and to engage with all project stakeholders and a management of technical consultants and suppliers. Your role will comprise of the following objectives Evaluation of Solar Projects involving Commercial, industrial and residential sites Provide technical direction or support to installation team during installation, start up, testing, system commission, or performance monitoring. Perform computer simulation of solar photovoltaic PV generation and energy storage system' performance. Develop design specifications and functional requirements for residential, commercial, or industrial solar energy systems. Create electrical single line or connection diagrams for solar PV systems using computer aided design software. Interact with electricity utility companies and regulatory authorities about solar PV projects. Plan and manage the logistics of supplying components for large scale solar PV projects. Energy and Cost analysis of proposed system using RETScreen Software Perform accurate system sizing calculations using custom design software tool based on Microsoft Excel VBA, and co-ordinates with management team to develop complete proposal packages. Deliver engineering proposals to the Ecosolarpower sales team and provide follow-up especially technical support as necessary. Drawings, Document submission for approvals, scheduling for installation, Remote site inspections, proving the guaranteed prepared a generalized check list for review of all standard, and check designs that adhere to grid compliance and permitting requirements. Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities At least a bachelor's degree At least 1 year of full-time relevant work experience in developing renewable energy projects (solar and storage) and off-grid projects will be appreciated. Ability to work using your own initiative unsupervised as well as within a team. Good understanding of photovoltaic and energy storage technology Sound communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated Research, Development & Innovation skills/experience Strong negotiating skills with suppliers and subcontractors. Experience in performing computer simulation of small-scale and large-scale energy and solar projects.
