Your new role If you are passionate about developing the skills of Australia’s manufacturing workforce and want to play a key role in developing and maintaining Manufacturing Alliance’s consultation and engagement with its Queensland stakeholders, this role may be for you. Reporting to the Manager Stakeholder Engagement, the Industry Engagement Partner actively engages and develops relationships with the stakeholders, eliciting and capturing stakeholder insights identifying their needs and reporting these back to support the development of strategies to workforce planning, training package and project activities. With strong connections outside Manufacturing Alliance, the Industry Engagement Partner will play a key role in intelligence gathering for the organisation, ensuring that Manufacturing Alliance maintains a current awareness of and can be proactive in responding to emerging issues and priorities. Your responsibilities in this role include having an ability to: • Plan and manage Manufacturing Alliance’s consultation and engagement with key industry stakeholders, including organisations that represent RTOs, employers, employees, learners and other JSCs for the purposes of: o Capturing, recording and disseminating key industry insights that provide an understanding of challenges and needs o Strengthening stakeholder relationships to facilitate improved industry partnerships o Driving positive outcomes and building the Manufacturing Alliance’s reputation • Collaborate across the organisation, assist Manufacturing Alliance to develop a cohesive position on workforce planning and skill development issues that affect the sector, for representation to stakeholders within and outside the sector • Work across the organisation and ensuring a basis in consultation and engagement with stakeholders, provide input to and implement Manufacturing Alliance’s Stakeholder Engagement Plan • Build and maintain productive relationships with relevant government agencies, industry and training regulators and providers, authorities and advisory bodies • Represent the Manufacturing Alliance at industry events, conferences and forums • Develop and implement strategies to engage and consult with First Nations peoples and to identify how actions will contribute to achieving Closing the Gap priority reforms The key attributes for you to be successful in this position: • Prior experience in the Manufacturing sector and knowledge of vocational education and skills requirements • The ability to understand the issues and use evidence-based decision-making, analysis and logic to recommend workable strategies • The ability to develop, articulate and communicate goals, policies, and processes to others • The ability to provide persuasive advice to achieve co-operation and to resolve divergent views and conflicting priorities • The ability to manage concurrent demands and deliver high quality outcomes in a timely and appropriate manner • The ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and stakeholders and to represent the organisation with professionalism and credibility
